Own It, the BBC’s flagship service, supports young people’s digital lives and wellbeing. To coordinate with Anti-Bullying Week (12th-16th November), they have launched a new campaign tackling online abuse. The BBC is committed to facing up to this critical issue and hopes, through this campaign, to reach as many young people and parents as possible so they can get the tools, advice and help they need.
The website provides lots of advice, tips and support in a way that is very relatable and accessible to children and young people, including videos on handling bullying from well-known faces such as Stacey Dooley and Joe Snugg, and quizzes which youngsters can take to determine if they are being victimised online, or perhaps even unintentionally upsetting others with their posts or messages.
This page is definitely worth checking out and directing your children towards.
